March 25, 2024, the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board, at the Rwanda Israel Horticulture Center of Excellence office located in Mulindi, received a delegation from the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Aimable Gatete, the center’s manager, who made a presentation about the center’s activities and discussed a way forward for horticulture development.

Following the presentation, participants delved into discussions which focused on collaboration between AGRA and the Government of Rwanda in horticulture development, targeting both the local and export markets.

The Horticulture Center of Excellence, established at Mulindi in the City of Kigali through the cooperation between Rwanda and Israel, aims to strengthen the technical know-how of Rwandan researchers, extension agents, and small and commercial farmers through the transfer of hands-on skills, among others.
