RAB Celebrates Labour Day 2026
The Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) marked Labour Day 2026 with a vibrant celebration that brought together staff members to reflect on achievements of the past year, recognize outstanding contributions, and renew their commitment to advancing Rwanda’s agricultural and livestock sectors.
Held on May 29, 2026, the event provided an opportunity for RAB employees to celebrate the value of hard work, dedication, and teamwork that continue to drive the institution’s mission of transforming agriculture and animal resources development in Rwanda.
A key highlight of the celebration was the warm welcome extended to newly recruited staff members, who were officially introduced to the RAB family. The gathering also paid tribute to retiring employees whose years of dedicated service and professionalism have contributed significantly to the institution’s growth and success.
The ceremony further recognized exceptional performance among staff. Mr. MUNYESHYAKA Jean Damascene, Land Survey and GIS Specialist and Acting Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in the SPIU, was honoured as RAB’s Best Employee of the Year 2026. The award acknowledged his outstanding commitment, professionalism, and contribution to the achievement of RAB’s strategic objectives.
Beyond celebrating achievements, the event also emphasized employee well-being. Staff members committed themselves to participating in sports and physical activities as part of efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and enhance workplace productivity.
In her remarks, Dr. Uwamahoro Florence, Acting Director General of RAB, commended employees for their dedication and encouraged them to strengthen collaboration across departments. She emphasized that teamwork and shared responsibility are essential for achieving RAB’s goals and contributing to the sustainable development of Rwanda’s agriculture and livestock sectors.
