RAB and CIP Train Master Trainers on Smart Nkunganire System

December 12-13, 2024, Rwanda, The Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) partnered with the International Potato Center (CIP) to conduct the 2025B Smart Nkunganire System (SNS) Awareness Campaign. During the campaign, they trained RAB Extension Agents, Farmer Promoters (FPs), Agro-Dealers (AGDs), and local government agronomists on how to use the Smart Nkunganire System. This training empowered them to provide consistent, high-quality training to agronomists and other stakeholders at district and sector levels, leading to better management of agricultural inputs and related services.

Officiating the training, Dr. Florence Uwamahoro, Deputy Director General in charge of Agriculture Development, urged participants to leverage existing tools to ensure the widespread adoption of the system and better management of agricultural inputs.

The Smart Nkunganire System (SNS) is a digital platform developed by BK Techouse in collaboration with the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB). It aims to revolutionize the agriculture sector in Rwanda by streamlining the end-to-end value chain of the Agro-Input Subsidy program.
