On December 3, 2024, the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB), in collaboration with the Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA), co-hosted a Digital Agriculture Platform Awareness Workshop in Kigali.

The workshop served as a critical platform to foster collaboration among key stakeholders within the national agricultural research and innovation ecosystem. It aimed to enhance the articulation of technology demands, prioritize impactful research actions, and accelerate the scaling of innovative solutions across agricultural value chains.

Held as an engaging in-person event, the workshop brought together experts and facilitators from ASARECA, the SDG Center for Africa, the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), RAB, and Egerton University.

Participants actively exchanged insights on effective and proven strategies to boost the adoption and utilization of digital platforms to deliver better services to farmers. These discussions highlighted the transformative potential of digital agriculture in addressing key challenges, improving productivity, and driving sustainable agricultural development in the region.
